Art of freedom

Trained as a Thanka painter, Ngawan Jorden paints scenes that depict the modern-day Tibetan struggle. Belief in basic human rights for all people and a respect for the power of the natural world are recurring themes in his work. He believes people should strive to peacefully coexist and should help prevent the harm being done to nature these days.

We should not forget that we all are going to gain if we succeed in creating a world of love, justice, equality and mutual respect. We can not insure our existence and survival unless we develop a sense of universal responsibility based on morality

— Dalai Lama
