Trained as a Thanka painter, Ngawan Jorden paints scenes that depict the modern-day Tibetan struggle. Belief in basic human rights for all people and a respect for the power of the natural world are recurring themes in his work. He believes people should strive to peacefully coexist and should help prevent the harm being done to nature these days.

Tibet Freedom Vigil Tibet freedom vigil began on March 14, 2008 and was held consecutively for 49 days. Since then, we have gathered every Wednesday 6:00 pm-8:00 pm in rain, in snow and in cool summer air. We will continue to hold vigil until there is a satisfactory resolution on Tibet http://www.freetibetanheroes.org
